About Mr Ashley Costin-Brown

Mr Ashley Costin-Brown is an award-winning consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Staffordshire, practising at Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital. He specialises in hip and knee surgery, with particular expertise in hip replacement, knee replacement, partial knee replacement, and the management of hip and knee osteoarthritis. He also performs meniscectomy for meniscus tears and offers revision procedures for complex or failed knee replacements. His practice is centred on delivering safe, effective treatments that restore mobility and improve long-term joint function. Mr Costin-Brown graduated with Honours from the University of Glasgow in 2011 before completing core surgical training at St Mary’s Hospital and King’s College Hospital in London. He undertook specialist orthopaedic training on the Oswestry/Stoke rotation, gaining broad experience at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. In 2020, he achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) and was awarded the Sir Walter Mercer “gold medal” as the highest-performing candidate nationally. He further refined his skills during a prestigious fellowship at the Sunnybrook Holland Centre in Toronto, focusing on advanced hip and knee arthroplasty.
