About Mr Ali Salih

Mr Ali Salih is a highly respected and highly experienced consultant oncoplastic breast and general surgeon in Brentwood who specialises in breast reconstruction, breast reduction, and breast cancer, alongside breast lumps, breast pain, male breast cancer, male breast specialists, paediatric breast specialist above age of 8, gallbladder surgery, laparoscopic hernia surgery and removal of skin lesaon and lumps. He privately practises at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital and Spire Hartswood Hospital, and his NHS base is Basildon University Hospital, part of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. Mr Salih qualified in medicine with an MB ChB from the University of Mosul, Iraq, in 1980, and later continued his surgical training in the United Kingdom. He achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) in 1995 and subsequently completed further specialist training, obtaining an FRCS in General and Breast Surgery in 2001. He also holds a Diploma in Surgery and a Master of Science in Breast Cancer Research from Imperial College London, both awarded in 2000. His academic background and specialist training have contributed to his expertise in modern breast surgery and oncoplastic techniques. Alongside his clinical work, Mr Salih has played an important role in advancing breast cancer care and surgical practice. Mr Salih is actively involved in teaching and mentoring surgeons in training and has served as a tutor in general and breast surgery at Basildon University Hospital since 2002. His research interests include improvements in breast cancer management, particularly in areas such as sentinel lymph node biopsy. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of several professional organisations, including the Association of Breast Surgeons and the British Association of Surgical Oncology.
