About Dr Ajay Yerramasu

Dr Ajay Yerramasu is a highly skilled consultant cardiologist based in Edinburgh, practising at Nuffield Health Edinburgh Hospital and Spire Shawfair Park Hospital. He specialises in the assessment of chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness and atrial fibrillation, with particular expertise in ECG interpretation, echocardiography and CT coronary angiography. He provides thorough diagnostic evaluation and tailored management for a wide range of cardiac concerns. Dr Yerramasu completed his medical education in India, followed by postgraduate training in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He undertook a fellowship in cardiac imaging in Washington DC, USA, and further clinical research at Wellington Hospital. He completed his specialist cardiology training at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and has been a consultant cardiologist in the NHS since 2016. His specialist interests include cardiac imaging and pacing, alongside general cardiology.
