About Dr Syed Afzal Sohaib
Dr Syed Afzal Sohaib is a consultant cardiologist with a special interest in heart rhythm problems. He qualified from the University College London (UCL) in 2005. After his studies, Dr Sohaib trained in leading teaching hospitals in London, including the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals NHS Trust. He obtained a PhD from Imperial College. Aside from his NHS posts, Dr Sohaib attends private patients at the One Heart Clinic, London Independent Hospital, and Spire London East. He performs procedures including ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants at The Wellington Hospital. Dr Sohaib's research interests are in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac devices.
