Leg cramps

Leg cramps are a frequent occurrence, generally not serious, and tend to be brief. They can strike at any moment, but many individuals experience them during the night or while resting. A leg cramp occurs when a muscle in the leg constricts, resulting in sudden pain that can hinder movement. These cramps may last anywhere from a few seconds to around 10 minutes. Once the cramp subsides, the affected muscle may remain tender for up to 24 hours.
