Laryngitis
Laryngitis occurs when the voice box or vocal cords in the throat become inflamed or irritated. In most cases, it resolves on its own within one to two weeks. The condition typically appears suddenly and tends to worsen over the first three days. Laryngitis is frequently associated with other illnesses, like colds and the flu, so you might experience additional symptoms. If you're uncertain whether it's laryngitis, consider looking into other signs of a sore throat.
