Impetigo

Impetigo is a highly contagious skin infection that is generally not severe. While anyone can be affected, it is particularly prevalent among young children. With appropriate treatment, impetigo typically improves within a few days. The infection begins with red sores or blisters, although the redness might be less noticeable on brown and black skin. These sores or blisters tend to burst quickly, resulting in crusty, golden-brown patches.
