Febrile seizures

A febrile seizure, also known as a febrile convulsion or fit, may occur when a child experiences a high temperature. While it can be alarming, it is generally not serious, but seeking medical assistance is essential if your child has a seizure. Although febrile seizures can be distressing to witness, they are unlikely to cause any long-term harm. These seizures typically last between 2 to 3 minutes, and it is uncommon for them to extend beyond 10 minutes.
