Erythromelalgia

Erythromelalgia is an uncommon condition characterised by burning pain, redness, and a sensation of heat in the skin, primarily affecting the feet. The symptoms can be persistent or intermittent, but managing triggers and receiving appropriate treatment can provide relief. While it predominantly impacts the feet, erythromelalgia can also occur in the hands, arms, legs, ears, and face. The pain may be ongoing or episodic, with episodes referred to as flare-ups. These flare-ups can develop slowly or appear suddenly, lasting from a few minutes to several days.
