Ectropion
Ectropion occurs when the lower eyelid droops or sags away from the eye, causing it to turn outwards. While it is generally not a serious condition, it can lead to discomfort. This condition primarily affects the lower eyelid and may occur in one or both eyelids simultaneously. Ectropion is more prevalent among older individuals and can increase the risk of infections such as conjunctivitis.
