Albinism
Albinism impacts the production of melanin, which is the pigment responsible for the colour of skin, hair, and eyes. It is a lifelong condition that remains stable and does not worsen over time. Individuals with albinism typically have either a reduced amount of melanin or none at all, which can influence their pigmentation and vision. Many people with albinism have white or very light blonde hair, although some may have shades of brown or red, depending on their melanin levels. Additionally, they often have very fair skin that is prone to sunburn and usually does not tan.
